Yuki Amano
Born in 1968
Amano makes ceramic still lifes of too much: sinks overflowing with dishes, fruit bowls heaped past the point of balance, bowls of tangled telephone cords and keys. Everything is built by hand at slightly too large a scale and glazed thick enough to run, so each piece looks caught a second before it collapses.
