Tomas Reventos

Reventos photographs ordinary surfaces so close, and prints them so large, that they stop being anything in particular: orange peel, a bruise on his own arm, wet tarmac under a sign at night, the whorl of a fingertip. The prints are face-mounted on acrylic and hung frameless, and the largest are built into lightboxes, so the surface glows rather than reflects.
